Jet Charter Boston arranges private flights to and from
Boston and the wider New England region, and the pages below cover the destinations we are asked
for most. The region is
unusual in that the useful airport is rarely the obvious one: Hanscom Field in Bedford
(KBED/BED) handles most Boston charter rather than Logan, and the north shore, the south shore
and the Route 128 corridor each have a closer field again.

The Islands
Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard are the two destinations charter exists for here,
because there is no nonstop commercial service from Logan to either one. Both are seasonal and
weather-exposed, neither clears customs, so an international arrival clears on the mainland
first. What can operate into each on your date is the operator’s performance calculation for
that aircraft and weight.
The Rest of New England
Beyond Massachusetts we arrange flights across Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island
and Vermont, from the Connecticut coast to the Maine islands and the Vermont ski country. Those
trips are quoted the same way: tell us the destination and the dates and we will work out which
field actually serves it.
Seasons Worth Planning Around
This is a year-round corporate market, not a seasonal one, but three windows tighten
availability. Summer fills the Cape and the islands. The Boston Marathon on Patriots’ Day in
April and the Head of the Charles Regatta in October fill the city. And commencement at Harvard
and MIT in late May is the one window where the traveler is a household instead of a company.
Winter brings de-icing and Nor’easters, which move departure times, so we build in more cushion
than the flight time alone suggests.
